Discover how to channel your dog’s natural drive into productive and fulfilling games that build your dog’s confidence and strengthen your relationship. Learn how to incorporate these games into everyday training to achieve obedience, behavior modification, and sport goals.

You'll learn how to identify each dog's preferred aspects of play, and what games games they're likely to enjoy. Applying concepts from Jay Jack's Window Theory, we'll demonstrate how that information can improve the success of your training sessions.

Try out a variety of games for you and your clients to enjoy with your dogs: Tug, Fetch, Slat Mill, Treat Chase, Personal Play, Weight Pull, Spring Pole, Hunting and more!

This seminar is ideal for dog trainers and enthusiasts that want to develop their reinforcement strategies as well as trainers looking to provide a variety of fulfilling activities that motivate both their dogs and their clients.

INSTRUCTOR:

Val is a certified GRC Dogsports judge and club leader of the Technicolor GRC club. She is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, and represented GRC Dogsports at the 2023 conference.

Val is the owner and head trainer of Chromatic K9, helping owners resolve behavioral issues through building mutually beneficial relationships with their dogs.

Her training style is inspired by years of mentorship under Jay Jack, in depth coursework at the Michael Ellis School, the TWC practitioner course, and her commitment to continuing education across a wide range of disciplines within the dog industry.

We will announce a run order by 5/1 at the latest. Dogs will be asked to be contained in the car while they are not working and handlers will be asked to stay and help out with other handlers’ sessions so please plan accordingly.

Meet Your Coaches:

Val Komissarouk is a Certified GRC Judge, Technicolor GRC Club Leader, Coach and Competitor. Her dog Frankie has her SR1, SR2, and first leg of SR3 as well as points towards her Weight Pull and Mill Race titles. Frankie is working towards completing her SR3, WP1 and MR1 titles. Her dog Sonny has his SR1 and SR2 as well as points towards his Spring Pole title. Sonny is working towards completing his SR3 and SP1 titles.

Cara Wehmhoefer is a Technicolor GRC Coach and experienced GRC Competitor. Her dog Jonas has his SR1 and SR2, as well as points towards his Mill Race title. Jonas is working towards completing his SR3, SP1 and MR1 titles.
